In Loving Memory of James “Jimmy” P. Syvertson
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James “Jimmy” P. Syvertson on June 9, 2025, at the age of 64. Known for his infectious laugh, open heart, and warm smile, Jimmy never met a stranger. He treated everyone like family, welcoming others with open arms and a warm smile. His ability to connect with people was unmatched; he brought light, humor, and sincerity to every interaction.
Jimmy had a special connection with the natural world and loved sharing his passions with others, especially his children. He was a devoted father and proud grandfather, always cheering from the sidelines, teaching life lessons outdoors, or feeding the birds and squirrels that seemed to gather just for him. Jim is survived by his beloved children and grandchildren:
· Andrea Heckendorf (Erik) and her daughter, Madison Heckendorf (Kyle)
· Erik Syvertson (fiancée, Sarah) and children, Alan & Robin
· Phillip Syvertson (wife, Cassie) and son, Jaxon
· Michelle Leaman (fiancé, Christopher) and children, Braiden & Semrow
· James Michael Syvertson
He is lovingly remembered by his former wife, Robin Borkenhagen, with whom he shared a lasting friendship.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Syvertson and his parents, Barbara and Ronald “Whitey” Syvertson.
