James “Kevin” Kerrigan passed away in his home on September 25, 2025, at the age of 70.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 14th, 1954. Kevin moved from Michigan to New York, and finally to Pewaukee, Wisconsin, for his high school years, where he was a three-sport varsity athlete, including track and field, quarterback of the football team, and captain of the basketball team. He also met lifelong friends, one of whom introduced him to his wife, Fran, at a Brewers game/work outing.

He leaves behind his wife, Fran; children, Kaitlyn (Josh) and Patrick (Abby); brothers, Alan and Tim (Lisa); sister, Kathy Knuth (Ron); his beloved German Shepherds, Titan and Tess; and many good friends that he enjoyed keeping up with even though he was so limited in his final years due to his health. He was preceded in death by his father, James Kerrigan, and his mother, Gloria Kerrigan (Onyshkow).

Outside of his prototyping and business consulting passions, Kevin was an avid golfer, passing down those skills to his children. He loved researching new technologies, and in Apple’s early years, he was regularly first in line for every new product they put out. He had his first iPad delivered right to the pool at the hotel the family was vacationing at in Florida in 2006.

Kevin very much enjoyed being involved in his children’s athletics, whether in the stands or as coach, running the local baseball league, or whatever new endeavor they were into. He instilled a strong work ethic in them from a young age and was beyond proud of the adults they have become.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
