BERNADETTE (BEATTY) KERRIGAN – a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away, October 8 th with her devoted children by her side at the age of eighty-nine. She was the beloved wife of 67 years to the late Robert E. "Bob" Kerrigan, Ret. WFD.

Born and raised in Woburn, Bernadette was a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Devaney) Beatty and John J. Beatty. She graduated from St Charles School Class of 1953. After graduation, Bernadette embarked on a journey of service and care as a phlebotomist at Choate Hospital. She proudly shared stories from this time with her family.

As a homemaker, Bernadette poured her energy into caring for her family. She cherished her children with a love as strong and vibrant as she was, and always sought to ensure they were well-rested, well-fed, and sheltered from life's challenges. She was gifted at caring for babies and loved her grandchildren with great affection. Her soft hugs and loving words showed the warmth of her love for them.

Bernadette's creative spirit shone through in her beautifully crafted ceramics that her children treasure. She enjoyed learning new things, such as caning chairs and discovering new recipes, and found joy in solving crossword puzzles and staying informed on current events. Her devotion to her faith was an inspiration to her family.

Music and movies were dear to her heart, particularly the classics that transported her to the golden era of Hollywood. Even as some of her memory faded, Bernadette's sharp recall of actors and films remained a testament to her enduring love for these timeless treasures.

Bernadette's family and friends cherish the memories of her joyful laugh and her unwavering dedication to those she held dear. Her presence will be profoundly missed, yet her loving influence endures in the hearts of all who were touched by her kindness and grace.

Bernadette is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, of whom she was so proud, Elizabeth "Beth" Kerrigan Donovan and her husband Paul of Gloucester; Robert "Bobby" Kerrigan Jr. and his wife Kathy of Wenham; and Marsha Kerrigan Gleason and her husband John of Pennsylvania survive her. She was the beloved sister of the late John J. Beatty Jr., Mary Piers, and Brenda Bernard. Cherished "Gram" of Phillip Donovan and his wife Ana, Kevin Donovan and his wife Erin, Katie Capoferri and her husband Gabriel, Kellie Abegg and her husband Tyler, Caroline Kerrigan, Erica Gleason Bigley and her husband David, Christopher, Elaina, and Grace Gleason. She is also the treasured "Grammy K" of Jack, Maxwell, Lily, Addison, Theodore, Lennon, Rory, and Noah, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
