Kenneth Walter Neumann, age 70, was called to join the choir of angels on September 9th, 2025. He was born on April 30th, 1955 to Edwin and Teckla (Nee Miller) Neumann in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, living most of his life in the Village of Pewaukee. He graduated from Pewaukee High School in June of 1973. Shortly thereafter, the same year, he walked out onto the 50 yard line of Milwaukee County Stadium, put up his hand and was sworn into the United States Navy. He would probably want everyone to know that the Packers won that night. During graduation from Great Lakes Naval Academy he sang solo, something he was honored to do. Departing from Alameda, California, Kenn served on the USS Wabash (AOR-5), a Naval supply ship and replenishment oiler; traveling across the Pacific ocean during peace time following the Vietnam War. His deployment took him to Japan and the Philippines. Following his service he joined the California Forestry Service and went on to fight the Big Sur fire in 1977. Kenn's love for this country was known to many by the display of over 700 United States flags in his yard during various U.S. holidays such as Independence Day and Veterans Day. Years later, after coming back home to Wisconsin, he returned to Christ Lutheran Church in Pewaukee, where he remained a lifelong member. His faith and dedication to God led him to serve in many roles in the church over the years, but his favorite was that of “secret” greeter, which was a secret he had difficulty keeping. He loved seeing new faces walking through those doors on Sunday mornings and ensuring everyone felt welcomed and included. It was at Christ Lutheran where Kenn met the love of his life, Linda Greenwood (Nee Heil). They were married on July 30th, 1988 and Kenn gained two daughters, Bobbie Jo and Samantha. They welcomed a baby girl, Kristina, on July 9th, 1989, then moved into their forever home across from the Pewaukee Kiwanis Village Park three months later. Kenn was a loving father and devout husband, co-parenting three daughters while supporting Linda through her recovery from melanoma cancer and later battles with leukemia. For nearly a quarter of a century, Linda has been waiting patiently for Kenn, while watching over her three girls since she was called to Heaven on November 10th, 2000. Kenn was a musician at heart. He was an active member of various ensembles throughout his years, including the Pewaukee High School A Capella Choir, the Wisconsin Lutheran Chorale, the Lake Country Players, Malachi (a rock gospel band), and the choir at Christ Lutheran Church, where he filled the role of tenor / comic relief. Many also knew him as “the guy who sings The Lord’s Prayer” at nearly every wedding and funeral in Southeastern Wisconsin. Kenn found many passions in life in addition to singing and composing music. With a love of baking and making wine, he never arrived at a gathering empty handed, always sharing his delicious creations with others. Also, never to be one without a dad joke, he was always able to make others laugh and smile, however there was the occasional eyeroll or groan. In his later years he found an appreciation for the outdoors and nature, going on frequent walks around town and tending to Linda’s garden after she passed. Holding on to his unwavering faith and goofy sense of humor, Kenn fought the good fight with hope and a smile, battling stage two fibrosis of the lungs. Kenn's family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the incredibly kind and compassionate nurses of Maple Ridge Health Services in Milwaukee for their care and support; as well as the hospice nurses and staff of AccentCare for their expertise and guidance in Kenn's final months. Thank you for ensuring his comfort and peace so that he could finally “catch that bus”. Preceded in death by his wife Linda, his parents Teckla and Edwin, his brother Ronald, his sister-in-laws Pawn and Trudy, and his brother-in-law Ron Brott, along with other relatives and friends. Survivors include his daughters Kristina (Jeff) Otto of Milwaukee, Bobbie Jo Good of Kenosha, Samantha Sobocinski of Waukesha, brother Glenn Neumann of Pewaukee, sisters Diane Neumann of Fort Atkinson and Marilyn Brott of Byers in Colorado, and fur-baby cat ShyGuy, along with many extended family members and dear friends. A service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Pewaukee on Sunday, September 14th, 2025 at 5:00 p.m., with visitation at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the services. Following the service, food and beverages will be provided in the fellowship hall. Burial with military honors will be held the next morning at Forest Hill Cemetery in Pewaukee on Monday, September 15th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m
