Robert "Bob" Frederick Neumann, age 93, of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025.
He was born March 7, 1932 to the late Arthur and Anna (Rabe) Neumann on a farm in Denison, Iowa.
Bob met his wife, Shirley at the roller-skating rink. They were married in 1955 and moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa. Bob worked in Sales with Fairmont Foods, Butternut Bread and Old Home, before retiring in 1994. Bob was very active with volunteer work with Southwest 8 and Connections and was a longtime member of Timothy Lutheran Church. In his free time, he loved spending summers in Minnesota fishing with family, playing cards with friends and enjoyed his weekly gatherings with friends for coffee, watching Iowa Hawkeye Football games and golf. Bob especially enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild grow and was especially proud to welcome them into the family. Bob and Shirley enjoyed taking bus trips.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Lyle (Virginia) Neumann; daughter, Lori Neumann (Joe Rose); three grandchildren, Heather (Bill) Waugh, Rob (Sara) Neumann, and Tony (Trisha) Neumann; eight great-grandchildren, Breanna, Will (Tanae), Ben (girlfriend, Bo Thometz), Brayden, Cameron, Kyler, Halle, and Leah, and a great-great-grandson, Ollie.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Timothy Lutheran Church on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Timothy Lutheran Church on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Graveside Service will be at Crawford Heights Memory Gardens, Denison, Iowa at 2:00 p.m., also on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. The family will direct memorials.
