James Steven Turner passed away on September 8, 2025. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He also fiercely loved his family and had a great passion being a care taker to those in need until his last breath. He was a great artist whether it was drawing pictures or painting cars. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast. Steve founded the Lifers group in Macon State Prison and helped teach and tutor many men while there to help them obtain their General Education Diploma (GED). Steve's motto is The further the setback the greater the comeback .He is proceeded in death by his father and mother; Luther and Jewell Turner, his Sister; Yvonne Turner, his brothers Ricky Turner, David Turner, and his grandchild Ryan Turner. He is survived by his son Larry (Marie) Turner, Greg (Christy) Turner, His daughter Hillary Turner (Chris Gentry) and his son Justin (Emily) Turner. His Grandchildren Benjamin Turner and Rylie Gentry. His great-grandchildren Kobe Turner and Lanie Turner.
