James S. Vaccaro Jr.

James S. Vaccaro, Jr., 95, of Wanamassa, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024. He was born in Neptune and lived in Allenhurst before moving to Wanamassa in 1956.
He was the owner of James S. Vaccaro & Sons Landscaping and Gardening, a landscaping business started by his father after immigrating from Italy.
An 80-year beloved member of the Allenhurst Fire and First Aid Departments, James served as Ex-Chief. He was also a member of the Italian American Association of the Township of Ocean (IAATO).
He was known for his love for gardening, and proudly nurtured a meticulously maintained garden for over 60 years, at his home in Wanamassa. His wine making hobby was legendary along with his culinary skills – flipping zeppole at the Italian American festival.
He is predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Anna Mae in 2014; his daughter, Celeste in 1991; his parents, James and Celeste Vaccaro and his 7 siblings.
Surviving is his daughter, Patricia and her husband David Reinhold; his son, James S. and his wife JoAnn Vaccaro and six grandchildren, David (Rebecca) Reinhold, Leanna (William) Rice, Kristopher (Noelle) Reinhold, James (Leann) Vaccaro, Jillian (Brendan) Lloyd, Jenna (Paul) Kolarsick) and 13 great-grandchildren.
