James H. Vogt

James H. Vogt, 69, of Arlington, VA, passed away on Sunday October 16, 2022 at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA. He was born in New London, CT on December 29, 1952 the son of Henry and Mahla (Cease) Vogt.
He served in the United States Air Force from June, 1971 to June, 1991, when he retired from active duty. During his military service, he was a computer and telecommunications specialist and manager. He was stationed at Plattsburgh Air Force Base, NY; Scott Air Force Base, Belleville, IL; Ramstein Air Base, Germany; The Pentagon; MacDill Air Force Base, FL, Tule, Greenland and Andrews Air Force Base, MD. He completed many leadership and technical courses in Texas and Mississippi. Upon retirement from Military Service, he entered US Civil Service for 25 years with positions in the Department of Defense and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
His interests included card games, fine dining, and cats.
He is predeceased by his father, Henry Vogt; his mother Mahala Vogt; his sister Constance Jones; his brother Dennis Vogt and his father- in-law Ronald Fuller, Jr.
James' survivors include his wife of 49 years, Kathy Fuller Vogt, son Lt Colonel Kevin James Vogt; daughter-in-law Tammy Durham Vogt; grandsons Andrew Vogt and Matthew Vogt of Dexter, NY; mother-in-law Barbara Fuller; brother-in-law Allen Jones, Burlington, VT; niece Irene Wright and her husband Jack Wright of South Hero, Vermont; nephew Thomas Brocco and his wife Stacia Brocco of Phoenix, Arizona; sisters-in-law, Deborah Gordon Linney, Cynthia Fregeau and brothers-in-law are Stephen Fuller of Daytona, FL, David Fuller, and Ronald Fuller III of Plattsburgh, New York; great nieces; April Wright Brooks (St. Albans, Vermont) Ellyn LaPier, Sara Gordon, Katie Pelletier (Sun City Florida), Allyson Fregeau Mead (Albany, NY), Clare Fuller, Kasey Fuller; great nephews; Jackson Wright, DMV, (New Hampshire), Justyn Gordon, Kellyn Gordon, Stephen Fuller, Aaron Fregeau, Alex Fregeau, (Fairfield,CA), James Fuller, (Williamstown, VT).
Calling hours will be held on Saturday October 22, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Funeral Service will follow in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 10:00 am on Monday October 24, 2022 at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
