James "Reuben" VonGlahn, age sixty-nine, passed away peacefully on November 19th, at the UW-Madison Hospital.

Reuben was born November 26th, 1955, in Dodgeville, WI. Reuben attended Belmont High School, graduating in the class of 1973. He called Belmont home all of his life. He worked at Heinrich's Roofing for thirty years. Reuben married Mary Kay Runde in 1980. Reuben was a loving father to his three daughters, Nicole (Ray), Kristen (Jesse), and Heather. As well as his grandchildren, Rylee, Carsyn, and Brady.

Reuben was passionate about Belmont sports, his favorite being softball, and never missed his daughter's or grandchildren's games. He played slowpitch softball with Rebel's Blue and won many tournaments along with the beer drinking trophies. He enjoyed catching up with friends and watching Brewer, Badger, and Packer games at the Sports Page in Belmont. His good-humor and wit were some of his best qualities, along with the ability to make people laugh. His "words of wisdom" and "I kid because I care" always brought light into every situation.

Reuben is survived by his wife of 45 years, daughters, grandchildren, and his sister, Kathy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marcia, brother Robert (Butch), his in-laws Donnie and Vi Runde, brothers in-laws, Stan Runde and Dwight Eggers, sister in-law, Candy Runde, and many close friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is serving the family. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.

The family would like to thank Belmont EMS, Southwest Health EMS, UW Medflight and all the staff at UW Hospital for their compassionate care of our husband and father.
