James Wann Obituary

James was born in Marquette, KS on April 26, 1944, the son of Amos Victor and Avis Vivian (Kimble) Wann.
James attended Marquette grade school and graduated from McPherson High School in 1962.
Through the years, James worked for CertainTeed as a supervisor and later became the Production Superintendent until he retired in 2004. He then worked for Walmart from 2005 to 2014.
James enjoyed watching Kansas City Chiefs football, working in the yard and spending time with his family and extended family.
James Wann was united in marriage to Phyllis Daniels in 1963. This union was blessed with the birth of a daughter Julie. James Wann was then married to Roberta Clouatre on April 30, 1966 in McPherson, KS. This union was blessed with the birth of two sons, Todd and Chris.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta Wann of McPherson; daughter, Julie (Anthony) Gehl of Canyon Lake, CA; son, Todd (Alicia) Wann of McPherson; grandchildren, Chad, Kirstin, Kelsey, Cassie and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Caden, Kaylee, Rhett, Sarah, True, Julia, Lakin, Nathan, Jaxon, Ashton and Madden; brother, Harold (Nettie) Wann, of McPherson; sisters, Jean (Bob) Chestnut of McPherson and Vivian (Harold) Jay of Holdenville, OK; brothers-in-law, James Clouatre of Marquette and Joseph (Debi) Clouatre of McPherson; other relatives, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents; son, Chris; and sister, Coleen.
Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Funeral Home in McPherson with Lynn Scott officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and can be sent to Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Funeral Home, 222 W. Euclid St., McPherson, KS 67460.

Uncle Jimmy I will miss you. We seemed to have always met up at Dillons pharmacy at the same time and we would laugh about it. Until we meet again RIP

I am grateful that was able to be friends with you for decades. And also grateful you were such a good husband to my dear friend Berta, father to Todd and Chris, and grandpa to many others.
