James Watson Obituary

Born on April 22, 1962 in Keyser, WV, he was a son of Arlene Watson of Westernport, MD and the late James Watson. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jane (Helman) Watson on December 2, 2021 and a daughter, Jackie Mongold.
Mr. Watson was retired after 26 years of service with the United States Navy and also worked for 10 years with the Finan Center in Cumberland, MD. He attended the First Baptist Church in Burlington, WV.
Surviving is his wife, Mary Frances (Myers) Metz Watson; a daughter, Amber Schivers husband Daniels Schivers ; three stepsons, son, J.D. Mongold and wife Janie of Burlington, WV, Jeffrey Metz of Westernport, MD and Wesley Metz of Piedmont, WV; grandchildren, Ashlynn Schivers, Dylan Roberts and Natasha, Michael Roberts and Khysa, Chase Roberts, Caitlin Mongold, Allen Harding and Megan, Justin Harding, Ericka Riggleman, Malachi Metz, Damon Metz, Tori Metz, Cameron Metz and Collin Metz and several great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, John, Tom and Mike Watson.
At Mr. Watson's request, there will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be conducted at the First Baptist Church in Burlington with dates and times to be announced.
The Smith Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
