This is the last photo we will cherish of Uncle Jim when my sisters, Lynda who took the picture, from the left-me-Doreen, Uncle Jim, Cinde and my mother Shirley Weinzierl visited him at his gorgeous condo in November 2015. One of my fondest memory was when Uncle Jim (working for Ford Motor) told my Dad about a nice car for me when I was shopping for my very first car (late 70's). Thank you Uncle Jim, I loved that car! It was a white Mercury Cougar with a two-tone brown/tan houndstooth top/roof with matching interior. Wish I still had it today, it would been a classic! Many other wonderful memories of Uncle Jim will be the legacy of love and will help find my smile during this time of loss. May God who created all things look down with love, compassion and embrace and comfort the family, friends during this time. Uncle Jim, you are now free of cancer, and greeted with open arms by our Creator, your son, Jimmy Dale, your siblings, our dad, David, Ruth, Carol, Leah, Dorcas, Elva and all your love ones. This is not a goodbye, we will meet again. Love you and our wonderful family!

My mom Shirley, Doreen, Cinde and I enjoyed our visit with uncle Jim at his beautiful condo when I was home for a visit. He was a talented man with lots of accomplishments...but what he was most proud of was his family! I have fond memories of our trips to Florida with mom and dad to visit uncle Jim, aunt Dorcas and uncle Bob. I know my dad David has welcomed him HOME with open arms ! With love, Lynda and Clint Scott

We are sorry for your loss. Pops spoke to us when we first came to Grace in 2007 many times before we knew he was your dad! He was so eager to talk to me about his Ford job explaining with love what he did. Will miss his physical presence. Lots of love pops. RIP

Pastor Jerry & Family, Tom & I are sorry for your loss. Your Dad was pretty remarkable. We remember how he was always kind and smiling. Besides, he raised a pretty great man that we were fortunate to claim as our pastor.

Dad said he feels so bad about losing Uncle Jim. He was a wonderful uncle to me, brother-in-law to Dad (Fred) and brother to Mom (Leah). I remember one time when I was young, Uncle Jim was singing "Oh Holy Night" at Grandpa's church. He had a beautiful voice. I had no idea he knew it was my birthday. He announced that he was dedicating the song to "Becky on her Birthday". We will all rejoice when we meet again!
