He was born in Bardstown to Sam West and Velma Cobb. He was an Army Veteran and construction worker. He was a long time member of First Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sam West, and a sister, Debbie West.
He is survived by his loving Wife, Lori West of Elizabethtown, KY., Mother, Velma (Roy) Cobb of Elizabethtown, KY, two sons, James Matthew West of Elizabethtown, KY, Michael Ricker of WI, three daughters, Kailen (Dillon) Murphy of Elizabethtown, KY, Tara (James Stallins) West of Elizabethtown, KY, Amanda Branhan of Paintsville, ten grandchildren, Hailey, Aubrey, Paisley, Josie, Charli, Bentley, Hukston, Dixie, Kayd, Klaira.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday October 2, 2025 2:00 pm at First Christian Church in Elizabethtown, KY with Rev. Chris Kiger officiating. Burial will be held at the Rineyville Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm or Thursday 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the First Christian Church in Elizabethtown.
