Obituary published on Legacy.com by Holden Cremation & Funeral Service - Sparta on Dec. 11, 2024.
James David "Tiny" Weter, age 50, a man of remarkable spirit and joy, passed away after a courageous battle with kidney and heart disease on December 10, 2024, in
Sparta, Missouri. Tiny, as he was affectionately known by his friends and family, was born on July 9, 1974, in Branson, Missouri, to proud parents Lloyd "Dean" Weter and Wanda Weter.
A graduate of Ozark High School, Tiny was well-known in his community for his expertise in concrete work. His professional life was a testament to his hard work, dedication, and craftsmanship. He was a man who took pride in the work of his hands and the strong relationships he built over many years within his trade.
Tiny's greatest love was his family. He was a devoted father to his sons, James and Sammi, Josh and Courtney, and Jaden and Madrical. He was also a cherished Papa to his adoring grandchildren, Kameron(14), Paislee(13), Tucker(10), Ryker(3), Jackson(3), and Macey(1). The bond he shared with Angela Weter, the mother of his sons and Nana to his grandchildren, remained a cornerstone of his life.
His brothers Brad Weter, Michael "Guss" and his wife Jennifer Weter, John "Ralph" and his wife Mandi Weter, Darin Weter, and Dusti and his wife Stacy Weter, will remember Tiny as a loving and protective sibling. His numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a slew of friends and family, along with his lifelong bestfriend Tommy Secrest will forever cherish the countless memories they created together.
Tiny was preceded in death by his stepfather, Richard Derrick, and both sets of maternal and paternal grandparents, along with other close relatives who had a profound impact on his life.
Beyond his work and family, Tiny's passions were as vast as the great outdoors he adored. An avid mechanic, he could often be found tinkering with engines and sharing his knowledge with anyone eager to learn. His love for fishing and hunting was only matched by his enthusiasm for buggy rides through the countryside. Tiny was an outdoorsman to his core, and his love for nature was infectious.
In June 2022, Tiny found his faith in the Lord and was saved and baptized through Union Hill Baptist Church in Swan Creek, a creek his children and grandchildren have fond memories of fishing and swimming with their father and papa.
Those who knew Tiny will remember him as a man who lived life to the fullest, despite the health challenges he faced. His absence will leave a void that cannot be filled. As we say goodbye to James David "Tiny" Weter, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey marked by passion, love, and an unbreakable spirit.
Rest in peace, Tiny. Your legacy will continue to inspire and guide us, and your memory will always bring a smile to our faces. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
