James "Jimmy" Robert Whobrey, 54, Indianapolis, IN passed away October 26, 2021 in Indianapolis, IN. He was born on June 25, 1967 in Indianapolis, IN.
Survivors include sister, Chastity(Julian) Lopez, goddaughter, Brittany Weaver; "grand" godchildren, Serenity, Waylon and Paislee Weaver; 2 Aunts and 1 Uncle; several cousins and several friends. He was preceded in death by mother, Oberta Whobrey Combs; father, Gordon Edward Combs; grandparents, Blossie & Mamie Whobrey;grandmother, Monda Rambo; aunts, Lou Knox and Sue Abney; uncles, Joe Knox, Fred Whobrey, Arnold Gay, and William Abney.
James worked at the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library. He has won several medals in singing competitions. His hobbies included singing, yard work and drawing.
Service will be on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 12:00pm at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Royster-Askin-Sandrock, 2310 W Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46222 with visitation from 11:00AM to the time of service at the mortuary. Officiating the service will be Perry & Bertie Smith.
