James Harold Wiser

James Harold Wiser, age 83, of Manchester, TN, passed away on March 7, 2025, at St Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. He was born on November 4, 1941, to parents Fred and Hazel Wiser in Summitville, TN.
Along with his parents, James is preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Shullick Wiser; brothers, Fred Wiser Jr., and Jerry Dow Wiser; sister, Joann Lee; sister-in-law, Brenda Wiser; and step-daughter, Claudette Hulme. He is survived by his wife, Claudia Crowley - Wiser; sister, Ruby Helen Jacobs; brother, Gary Wendell Wiser; step children, Kevin Crowley and William Crowley Jr.; special great grandchildren, Camryn Beagle and Jett Beagle; nieces and nephews, Vickie Crosslin, Ruth Ann Wiser, Randell Lee, Wendell Wiser, Cindy Wiser, John Wiser, and especially Debbie Madewell, whom spent a lot of time with him on holiday and would accompany him on all his shopping in Murfreesboro.
James was a member of Summitville Baptist Church. He was an avid Ohio State Football Fan and would get very emotionally involved in watching their games on tv. He enjoyed riding his bicycle, especially on the greenway during his time in Florida, some days traveling up to 32 miles on his bike. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held at Manchester Funeral Home on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM. We will be going in procession to Concord Cemetery for graveside services with Brother Mark Smittey officiating.
