Jameson Lee Adams

Jameson Adams, 45, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from complications of a lifelong medical condition.
Born on April 15, 1980, in Cleveland, Ohio, to his biological parents James Hicks and Betty Robinson. At the age of two he was adopted by William and Geneva (Robinson) Adams. Jameson was a lifelong resident of the area. On September 6, 2014, he married the love of his life, Julia Cooper, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family.
Jameson worked as a cleaning manager at Bomshell Pro Cleaners, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he found joy in simple pleasures-playing chess and pool, always with some classic Rap or R&B playing in the background. But above all, Jameson cherished the time he spent with his family and close friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 11 years, Julia; his children, Shyanne Cooper and Marquise Black, and Jamir and Keymoni Adams; his parents, William Adams and his wife Veronica, and Betty Robinson; and his siblings, Elder Sean Adams, Monique Robinson, Jackie Griffin, Davita Adams, Nubiabell Irby, Tasha Hicks, and James Lil Butchey Hicks. He also leaves behind his lifelong best friend, Andre Corpening, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Jameson was preceded in death by his parents, Geneva (Robinson) Adams and James Hicks; brother, James Hicks Jr.; maternal grandmother, Hattie Robinson; his cousin, Ronald Maceo Hull; and his dear friend, Lee Wells.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Hiawatha Church of God In Christ, 3417 Hiawatha Ave., Ashtabula, with Pastor Steve Sargent officiating. Calling hours will take place at the church on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
