Jamie Lynn Garner, age 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on January 9, 1955, in Fort Smith to Dorothy Patricia Markwell and King James Collier Jr. Jamie married the love of her life, Ronnie Garner, on October 11, 1997. Together, they shared many joyful years, building a life centered on love and family. After graduating from high school, Jamie attended WestArk College and went on to dedicate more than 35 years to her career as an ICU nurse at Mercy Hospital-a role through which she touched countless lives with her compassion and care. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Jamie cherished her time with her family. She especially enjoyed caring for her children, grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Allie. A woman of deep faith, she was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church and lived her life as a constant caregiver to those around her.
Jamie is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie Garner; her children, Neely Spessard (Brian), Casey Fleming (Richard); and her stepson, Eddie Garner. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Ricky, Kaley, Ashley, Jeremy, Amelia, and Owen; and her great-grandchildren: Beckham, Hudson, and one expected soon. She leaves behind her siblings, Tricia Sloan (James) and John Collier; as well as her niece, Dorothy. She was preceded in death by her parents, King and Dorothy Collier; her daughter, Missy French; and her nephew, Jason Sloan.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services, located at 1805 North A Street, Fort Smith, AR 72901.
