With Love, We Remember
Richard Arthur Graham, age 63, of Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by love and family. He was born October 21, 1961, in Beaufort, South Carolina, to Ruben Richard Graham and the late Jackie Kay (Jetton) Graham. Richard was a proud graduate of Lavaca High School, who after graduating, honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Once Richard was discharged from the Navy, he attended Ozark College of Nursing in Ozark, Arkansas, where he followed his calling to care for others as a nurse. Richard was a man who truly lived life to the fullest. He was adventurous, outgoing, and full of fun - known for his crazy jokes, big laughter, and joyful spirit. He loved collecting knives, flashlights, and pens, but some of his happiest times were spent fishing with his daughters or walking through the woods, soaking in the peace of nature. A devoted Christian, Richard's faith was the foundation of his life. He loved his Lord and Savior deeply and shared that love freely with those around him. His church family at Hosana Free Will Baptist Church held a very special place in his heart. Above all, Richard's greatest joy was his family - especially being a "girl dad." He often reminded his daughters that no matter how grown they became, they would always be his little girls.
He is survived by his loving father, Ruben Graham; his brother Kenneth Lee Graham, whom he loved dearly; and his three daughters, Maghen Dawn Graham Moody of Cameron, Oklahoma, Briannon Janiece Graham of Cameron, Oklahoma, and Caitland Carita Graham and her partner Aaron Lee Garner of Pocola, Oklahoma. He was the proud grandfather of Jeremy Lane Moody, Christopher Joseph Moody Jr., Miles Shane Scarberry, and Gracey Jae Scarberry. Richard also leaves behind cherished family members including Stephan Graham, Darion and Justin Bond, and Evelyn Graham, along with a host of wonderful friends - especially Ezra and Barbie Pitchford, Angie Mizell, and all his beloved church family, whom he loved so very much. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie Kay Jetton Graham; his grandparents, Arthur and Ruby Graham and Frank and Lucille Jetton; as well as two precious grandchildren who greeted him in heaven.
A celebration of Richard's life will be announced at a later date. The family wishes to thank all who have reached out with love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Richard's honor.
Richard will be remembered for his laughter, his love of life, and his faith - a man who brought joy wherever he went and left lasting memories in the hearts of all who knew him. Cremation is under the thoughtful care of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
