Jamie Lee Price, 60, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a beacon of selflessness and faith, was called home by his Savior on February 2, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. Born on October 16, 1964 in Washington, D.C., to the late Herbert L. Price and Ruth Ann Price. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, David H. Price, and his beloved parents-in-law, Merlin and Katie Paisley.
Jamie leaves behind his devoted wife of 40 years, Rene Paisley Price, whom he married on December 29,1984. His sons, Michael Lee(Jeanette), Adam James, and his daughter, Sara Kate(Keith). His adored grandchildren, Evan Thomas Price and Ava Rose Peterson. Four bonus grandchildren Adley, Parker, Keith Jr, and Emma. His sister, Jennifer(Bill)Moore, many nieces and nephews, and his "guys" Randy Sudduth and Robbie Booth. Jamie graduated from Cambridge High School in 1983. He sang in the symphonic choir, played football and was a champion wrestler. Jamie and his son Michael are the only father/son All-Ohio wrestlers at Cambridge. Jamie's dream was that his grandson Evan, also a wrestler, would become the third generation of Price wrestlers for Cambridge. Jamie had a spirit of generosity that knew no bounds. He dedicated many of his years as a paraprofessional with the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center, where his compassion and commitment to others left a lasting imprint upon the hearts and minds of both colleagues and students.
Guided by a profound devotion to his Lord and Savior, Jamie was an ordained minister with the Church of God, Anderson Indiana. Jamie was a testament to his unwavering faith and his heartfelt desire to shepherd others to the light of the Gospel. His voice, a melodious vessel, was often heard singing praises with a fervor and conviction that moved souls. Jamie released his first album in 1995 and was nominated as male vocalist and song writer of the year.
But above all, it was the treasured moments spent with his family that Jamie cherished the most. He was a pillar of strength and love to all who knew him.
Jamie's journey through life was characterized by his selflessness, his faith, an unbounded generosity that touched countless lives. Each person he met felt the warmth of his presence, the genuine care in his words, and the boundless grace in his actions. He walked the Earth as a vessel of love, embodying the teaching of the Holy Word, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35)
As the sun sets on the life of Jamie, we are reminded of the brilliance of his spirit, the undying light that shone through his every deed. Though cancer may have taken him from this world, it could never dim the radiance of his soul nor the profound impact he has left upon each life he touched. His life journey marked by an outpouring of love and service. Jamie, a man of the Lord, taught us by example the virtue of living for others and the joy found in a faith-filled heart.
