Mr. Jan D. Owens

Mr. Jan D. Owens, 70, of Lancaster, Massachusetts, formerly of Rhode Island passed away on the evening of Sunday, March 31, 2024. Born to the late Alvin and Wilhelmina "Willie" (Van den Oever) Owens on February 15, 1954 in Wiesbaden, Germany.
Jan served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, and later went on to become a Software Engineer. In his spare time, you could find him building computers, watching movies, visiting the beaches in Rhode Island, rooting on the Red Sox, listening to the Beatles, or enjoying his favorite cuisine, Chinese takeout.
Jan is survived by his wife of 34 years Elaine (White) Owens, his daughter Gretchen Moorstein and her husband Perry, and seven of his eight siblings: Allen Owens, Doris Owens, Ray Owens, Patricia Trinque, Alvin Owens Jr., Lisa Murdock, and Brian Owens. He was predeceased by his sister Margaret and. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Friends and Family are invited to gather to and remember Jan on Friday, April 12. Visiting hours are Friday, April 12 from 1 pm until 2 pm with a Memorial Service in celebration of his life beginning at 2 pm in The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco and Sons Memorial Chapels, located 773 Moody Street in Waltham, MA.
