Jan Marlyn Picker

Jan Marlyn Picker, of Yardley PA, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Born in Trenton, NJ on February 20, 1948, she graduated from Trenton High School (1965) and Douglass College (Rutgers University) in 1969.

Jan met her life partner and love of her life, Jeffrey, on a blind date in October 1966, they would have been married 57 years this January.

She and Jeffrey have three wonderful children Jonathan (Lisa), Debra Rednik (Joshua), Eric (Lisa) and seven loving grandchildren: Daniel, Benjamin, Sydney, Ethan, Reese, Lyla and Drew. Jan and her sister Ronnie Fliss were extremely close.

She was a life member and supporter of Hadassah as both a volunteer and professional, serving as a regional president and member of its national board.

She began her work life as a nursery school teacher at United Hebrew Institute in Kingston, PA and worked at Hadassah in Baltimore, and for Guard Insurance Group as an event planner.

Jan bravely fought her medical challenges which deeply affected her mobility for the past ten years. Through Alzheimer's and repeated hospital and rehabilitation stays, she never gave up.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents Franklyn ("Buddy") and Lea Davis.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, sister, Ronnie and brother-in-law Allan, niece Jessica, nephew, Ian Fliss and his wife Nim, and her dear extended family, friends and everyone she touched in life.

Funeral services are private on Monday, December 22. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery in Monmouth Junction, NJ.

Jan would be honored if contributions in her memory were made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Hadassah.
