Robert “Bob” William Picker, age 77 of Belle, was born April 2, 1948 at a farmhouse in Maries County, a son to the late Theodore “Tade” and Wilma (Robertson) Picker.

Bob was a lifelong area resident and a 1966 graduate of Belle High School. He had been employed at Belle Business Forms in Belle for over 20 years.

On September 22, 1967, he was united in marriage to Cathy Marie Heady at the First Baptist Church in Belle. Cathy preceded him in death on September 14, 2022.

Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing, keeping his yard landscaped, and older country music. He liked watching Johne Wayne movies, Gunsmoke on a daily basis, and Clint Eastwood movies. Bob loved coaching his sons in baseball when they were young and now going and watching his grandchildren play sports. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed dining out at local cafes, harassing the help and anyone else along the way. Above all, Bob loved his time spent with his family. He will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved him.

Bob is survived by three sons: Mike Picker of Belle, Chad Picker and his wife Kristin of Rolla, and James and his wife Oukham of Olathe, KS; four grandchildren, Meghan, Emma, Matt, and Meredith; one sister, Alma Marie Steinkamp of Belle; and one brother-in-law, Kevin Heady.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Cathy, his parents, and a brother-in-law, Lanny Steinkamp.

Visitation for Bob will be on Monday, December 8, 2025 at the First Christian Church in Belle from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at the First Christian Church in Belle beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Pilot Knob Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Maries County R2 Schools Community Care fund in Cathy’s and Bob’s name. The school will accept cash or a check written to “Maries County R2 Schools” and have “lunch donation” written on the memo line. The funds are used to help feed local students.
