Jane Ruth Alexander was born on August 30, 1941, in Ada, Oklahoma, as Carolyn Bittle. She passed peacefully from this life on October 29, 2025.
At the age of three or four, she was separated from her mother and placed in an orphanage, where she remained for about a year. She was later adopted by Ruth and Albert Kuchynka, along with her brother, Levi.
Jane later met Tom Box, and the two were married on February 22, 1960. Together, they raised three children: Steve, Michael, and Caren. Their marriage lasted 26 years before they parted ways in December 1986.
Not long after, Jane met the love of her life, Ronald "Ronnie" Alexander. The couple married on June 23, 1987, during a special double wedding ceremony with Ronnie's sister, Vicki, and her fiancé, Steve Ham. Jane and Ronnie shared 34 wonderful years together and parented his two beloved children as her own, Jimmy and Rhonda. In her professional life, Jane dedicated 16 years of service to Oklahoma Natural Gas.
In 1968, after 27 years of wondering about her birth family, Jane joyfully reunited with her biological siblings and reconnected with her roots.
Jane found peace and joy in nature. She had a deep love for animals of all kinds and cherished the beauty of sunrises and sunsets. She possessed a whimsical spirit and delighted in balloons, clowns, and watching butterflies dance among the flowers in her garden. She especially enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels and counting the cardinals that visited her yard. She also appreciated the excitement of a good crime show.
Family was at the center of Jane's heart. She never missed an opportunity to bring loved ones together and celebrate life's moments, big or small. She lived a long, beautiful life and was deeply loved by all who knew her.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Caren Haynes, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ruth Kuchynka; her beloved husband, Ronnie Alexander; and her sons, Steven Box and Michael Box.
