Jane E. DuVall Kent, 90, lifelong Washington resident, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025 at her home, surrounded by family.

Jane was born December 23, 1934 in Peoria to Thelma G. Slonneger DuVall and Russell W. DuVall. She married John "Jack" Kent on December 28, 1952 in Washington; they later divorced.

Surviving are her daughters, Amy Kent of Delavan, Laura (Brian) Bradashaw of Walsh, Brenda Ratton (Tony Goodwin) and Maria (Tim) Railey, both of Washington; and 69 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and grear-great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1945 during his service in World War II, and her mother in 1993; her infant brother, Larry DuVall; and her former husband, Jack.

Jane grew up in Washington, graduating from Washington Community High School. She worked as an in home caregiver and Sunshine Cleaners over the years. Singing was her passion. She loved singing with her church choir, the Side by Side and Second Act groups and at many weddings and funerals over the years. She was a lifelong, active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, serving on the church council and teaching Bible school over the years in addition to serving in other ways. Jane's great sense of humor, her beautiful voice, and wit will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, September 6, 2025 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington. Visitation will be from 10-11:00am Saturday at the church. Inurnment will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
