Jane M. McGrath

Jane M. (Adshead) McGrath, 66, of Leicester, passed unexpectedly on Monday, June 5, 2023 at her home. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward F. McGrath, in 2016. She leaves her children, Ian E. McGrath, and Megan J. McGrath, both of Worcester; her siblings, Richard Adshead and his wife Darcy, of Arizona, Thomas Adshead, of Florida, and Judith Brissette, of Charlton; her brothers-in-law, James Polakowski, of Auburn, and Andrew McGrath and wife Sarah Patton, of Sutton; as well as several nieces and nephews. Jane was also predeceased by her sister, Joan Polakowski; and their parents, Richard M. and Constance I. (Brissette) Adshead.
Jane was born in Worcester, raised and educated in Auburn.
She graduated from Auburn High School, Class of 1975, then attended and graduated from Worcester State University with a degree in Physiology. She then received her nursing degree from Becker College. Jane spent much of her career in the operating room at UMASS.
When she wasn't working, Jane enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and antiquing throughout New England.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for Jane's funeral Mass, which will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St., Worcester, MA. Burial will be held privately. The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
