Jane Moylan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home & Crematory - Historical Downtown Chapel on Aug. 30, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Jane Anne Moylan, 74, of Naperville, IL, died August 28, 2025. Jane was born September 15, 1950 and was a 5th generation Napervillian. She was a life long parishioner at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church where she received her sacraments, attended school, and spent the majority of her professional career.

Jane is survived by her husband, Tom, daughters Katie (Steve) Grosskopf and Jill (Tony) Cappa, grandchildren Macy, Tyler, Libby and Tommy, sister Linda Dumdie and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Rose Hein (Koretke).

Jane married Tom on August 3, 1974 at Sts. Peter and Paul. They spent 51 adventurous years in a house divided with Jane rooting for her beloved Cubbies and Tom the White Sox. Jane was an educator, touching thousands of lives. After graduating from the College of St. Francis, she began her career in Darien at St. Mary's (6 years) and continued for another 31 years loyally committed as Assistant Principal and teacher at Sts. Peter and Paul School. Her devotion was fueled by the family legacy and tradition of four generations attending the school and church.

Jane was the matriarch, always caring for those around her with her beloved grandchildren as her favorites. She was happiest when her whole family was together, especially on holidays. She expressed her love making food for family and friends, particularly baking. After retirement, Jane volunteered at Loaves and Fishes and was an integral part of the church Archives committee. She enjoyed traveling with her family and will be remembered for her sharp wit, attention to detail, determined willingness to problem solve, and fierce loyalty to the people she loved. Jane left quite a legacy.

Visitation will be September 7th from 3 to 7pm at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home in downtown Naperville (516 S. Washington). At 6pm, the immediate family will be sharing reflections and memories of Jane for those who are able to attend. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on September 8th at 11am at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Naperville. Internment to follow at Naperville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane's memory may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul teachers' endowment fund (https://sspeterandpaulschool.com/advancement) or Loaves and Fishes (https://www.loaves-fishes.org/).
