Jane Lou (Upperman) Paull, 97, Fishers, passed away peacefully at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. She was born on September 18, 1927, in Bellaire, Ohio, to Walter and Elizabeth Upperman.
Jane was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her early years were dedicated to raising her family, and, later, she poured her heart into her church and volunteer work. A faithful member of Gethsemane Episcopal Church, Jane served in many roles over the years, including Episcopal Church Women President, Altar Guild member, and Lay Eucharistic Minister. She was always working with the "church ladies" to organize fundraisers like ice cream socials, luncheons, and craft fairs. Through her efforts, countless children were able to attend church camp tuition-free, and many families received clothing and other essentials.
Jane also volunteered for many years at Riverview School, working with children with disabilities--a role she cherished deeply.
She had a love for travel and enjoyed many memorable adventures with her dear friend through Land Cruise tours. Jane also had a passion for collecting, especially Santa Claus figurines and Jim Shore pieces.
An avid walker, Jane could often be found walking up to eight miles a day with close friends, a routine she maintained for many years.
She is survived by her five children: Cindy (Jim) Beck, Becky Hahn, Patsy Poehler, Amy Beahan, and Brian Paull; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Clyde Paull; her parents, Walter Clyde and Elizabeth Virginia Upperman; and her granddaughter, Kristina Gordish.
Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
A graveside service will follow at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
In honor of Jane's wishes, memorial contributions may be made to Gethsemane Episcopal Church, 803 S. Washington St., Marion, IN 46952, or to the Marion-Grant County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1921, Marion, IN 46952.
