Jane was a neighbor when her family moved to Ivy Ct. in the late sixties, early seventies. I lived with my Mother and her husband, Ruth Haskell and Ray Haskell at the time, and I remember babysitting her children! I Always found her and her husband to be very nice people and can honestly say they touched my life in a positive way!

John, Chris and Tom,
My deepest condolences on your Mother's passing. I have so many fond memories of both your Mum and Dad at family gatherings. I'll always remember their kindness and generosity to our family when our parents passed. I pray that God will give your hearts whatever you need most at this time.

Jane and George Scanlon began their married lives as our neighbors on Abbott street and the neighborhood was never the same again. First up was a basketball back board and hoop under the street light in front of the house . Of course next to the fire hydrant perfectly located there . Thus was created the best wiffle ball field on the planet with perfect lighting built in . I´m guessing the year was sixty- nine or seventy. I was probably thirteen years old and the games began . Hot summer nights balling out be it either wiffle or basket ball The ice cream man would make a mid game stop where George would buy popscicles for everyone.
Of course Jane kept a steady
flow of coolaide ice and
dixy cups coming .
All of the kids of Pond Plain loved them , They truly were the perfect couple. Godspeed friends .
