Dear Family and Friends of Jane Seraphin,
Everyone who had the good fortune to know Jane knows what a thoughtful, interesting and fun person she was. We were friends with Jane for over 30 years, and during that time, we enjoyed so many good times with her. We met Jane before she retired from the DSS in 1992 and continued our friendship with her for all these years. Even though she was 30 years our senior, she was the one who would think of the adventures to go on - lunch at Block Island or Quincy Market. At times we had trouble keeping up with her. She made us laugh and told us about her many adventures traveling around the world. Whenever we went places, she drove, because she knew the best route to anywhere and everywhere, without GPS! Jane was astonishing. She told us stories of her previous jobs at the Bell phone company and child protective services. She made friends with and helped her neighbors wherever she lived. Jane was an ambassador of love, generosity, kindness and caring without asking for anything in return. With her open heart, she would engage strangers in conversation wherever she went, giving the impression she'd met an old friend. She was a class act.
We’re going to miss our dear friend.

Dear Family of Jane F. Seraphin,
I am so sorry to learn of her passing and so sorry for your loss. She was a lovely, sweet, delightful person. I knew her because her father, Carleton, was a friend of my grandmother, Isabel St. John. Carleton was also a delightful, amiable individual. The last time I saw her was when she came to my Dad's funeral in 2004. It was a joy to see her. I am sure Jane will be missed for the wonderful person she was. I will say a prayer for her and I am pleased and privileged to have known both Jane and her Dad. Nancy Stowell
