Jane Elizabeth Shrader

Jane Elizabeth Shrader, age 92, of Marengo, passed away at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware, Ohio.
Born on May 31, 1933, in Boissevain, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Annie Grubb Atwell. She married William Shrader, who preceded her in death in 1989.
Jane was a caring, kind-hearted homemaker who created a beautiful home for her family. She was a "praying mom" and had attended the Living Word Church in Obetz. Jane had a passion for cooking, making many delicious dishes for her family, and was especially known for her famous potato salad, meatloaf, and pumpkin pie. Jane loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Left to cherish Jane's memory are her daughters, Jenny (Randy) Chapman and Debbie (Danny) Huddleston, her sister, Peggy Harrison and daughter in-law, Sandy Shrader. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Jane was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Sue "Chubby" Cantrell in 2009, her son, Bobby L. Shrader in 2024, and her grandson, Shane Chapman in 2005. Also preceding her in death are her brothers, Burton, Porter, Robert, Raymond, Jess and Johnny Atwell and her sister, Bertha Robinette.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in the Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel, 637 State Route 61, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. Pastor John Brainard will officiate. Burial will follow in the Marengo Cemetery,
Friends may visit the family on Monday, November 24, the evening before the service from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends will receive the chance to visit with the family as well on Tuesday, the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
