Jane Thomas Obituary

Jane L. Thomas, 76, of Lower Nazareth, passed away July 1st, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus. She was the beloved wife of Ronald A. Thomas Sr. Together they celebrated 57 years of marriage on June 8, 2025.

Born March 19, 1949, in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Gladys Roberts.

Jane graduated from Palmerton High School, Class of 1967. Following high school, she worked in a nursing home, a textile factory, and Quality Box. Jane enjoyed spending time with her family which included trips to Cape May, NJ, Knoebels, Roadside America, and the Bloomsburg and West End Fairs. She enjoyed taking long car rides or sitting out on her front porch listening to the birds sing. Jane was a simple woman with a huge heart. She loved unconditionally with everything she had. Most of all, she was happiest spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Ronald, Jane is survived by her brother Daryl Roberts of Palmerton; 2 sons, Michael and David Thomas, both of Nazareth, her daughter, Sherry Barthold of Whitehall, and a stepson Ronald A. Thomas Jr. of Pen Argyl. Jane is also survived by her grandchildren, Ashley Jacoby and her husband Donald of Nazareth, Austin Thomas and fiancé Jenifer of Nazareth, KayLee Hamm of Whitehall, Robert Thomas and fiancé Brittany of Nazareth, Lee-Ann Thomas of Pen Argyl, Kearstin Thomas of Pen Argyl, and Jordan Thomas of Pen Argyl; many great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Jacoby, Winston Jacoby, Autumn Thomas, Asher Thomas, Francis Thomas, Layne Thomas, Charlotte Greenleaf, Kyle Ghigliotty, Bryson Ghigliotty, and Everleigh Disbrow.

Along with her parents, Jane was predeceased by her brother Eugene and granddaughter Kelsey Thomas.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Schmidt Funeral Home, PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.
