CARTHAGE- Janeace (Jan)  Elizabeth Bouvia (Arquette), formerly Holton, and Hammond of 222 State Street Carthage NY, passed away on Tuesday, July 22 in Rome, NY. She was 79 years old and had been in failing health for some time.

The Calling Hours will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, located at 500 State Street in Carthage, NY 13619. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. The Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Carthage, New York. She Married the late Donald Jenzel Bouvia, on May 24, 1996, in New Bremen, NY. She was employed for many years at AMF in Lowville, New York, and later at Crown Zellerbach in Carthage NY. 

For more than 35 years she was an active member of the TOPS Club, where she found friendship, support, and a strong sense of community. Jan enjoyed making crafts. She was particularly gifted at knitting and lovingly created personalized sweaters and afghans for her children and grandchildren. She was a woman of deep faith, whose unwavering trust in God guided her throughout her life. Her spiritual strength was a source of comfort and inspiration to her. 

Jan is survived by her four children, Robin Hammond of Black River NY, Cindy Ward of Black River NY, Laurie Field and her husband Dan of Grantham, NH and Jon Hammond of Clayton, NY, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and several stepchildren and step-grandchildren. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Bouvia; her parents, Clarence and Amy Arquette; her brothers, Robert Northrop and Walter Northrop; and a grandson, John Hammond.
