Barno, Janet Lee age 76 of Tipp City passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025. She was born December 23, 1948 in Troy, Ohio to the late Howard and Betty Jane {Taylor} Perry. Janet is survived by her loving husband Stephen Barno of Tipp City, daughters Tracy Harnish of Tipp City and Jennifer (Shane) Morris of Covington, Ohio and sisters Kay Kitzing of Arizona, Karen Huntsberger of Tipp City and Jane Taylor of California. Also surviving are grandchildren Kalesha Peacock, Hayden Harnish, Harrison Harnish and Parker Morris, great grandchild Lincoln Peacock and beloved dog Calli.

Janet was a 1967 graduate of Tippecanoe High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Springfield Community School of Nursing. She dedicated her career to caring for others as a Registered Nurse at Madison County Hospital and Upper Valley Medical Center, retiring after 41 years of compassionate service. In 1970, Janet married the love of her life, Steve, in a beautiful ceremony in Athens, Greece. She was a devoted member of St. John's Catholic Church in Tipp City. Janet had a deep love for music and enjoyed playing the piano. She cherished time spent with her high school and nursing friends, especially their special lunch outings together. Known for her warm heart and creative spirit, she found joy in making Christmas stockings and baking cookies for her loved ones. Above all, Janet was a nurturing caretaker whose greatest pride was her family. She treasured Sunday family dinners and made her home a place filled with love, laughter, and togetherness.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day, Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 10:30 AM at the church with one hour visitation prior. Father Kyle Schnippel, Celebrant. Burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in Janet's honor to please consider, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N. Co. Rd. 25A, Troy, Ohio 45373. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, Tipp City. Online condolences may be expressed at www.fringsandbayliff.com.
