Bedula, Janet Lynn a longtime resident of Cresskill, NJ passed away on July 20, 2024. Born in New York City to the late Olga and George Bedula. Janet was the loving sister to the late Karen Bedula. She is survived by her younger brother, Richard Bedula. Janet graduated Cresskill High School in 1971 and went on to Attend freshman year at Cedar Crest College in PA. She transferred to Colby College. In Maine. She spent a semester in Madrid which gained her wonderful experiences and memories. At Colby she completed her undergraduate degree and then attended William Paterson College for her Masters in Teaching and ESL. She taught at Cushing Academy in MA where she met her long-time partner of over 42-years, Bob Hall. Bob passed away earlier this year. Janet had teaching positions in several NJ towns including Cresskill, Bogota and many years at Cliffside Park High School, where she taught Spanish and ESL, and retired as The Head of the Language Dept. She was especially close to Casey, Bob's grandson and was very proud of him finishing high school and searching for college. Janet enjoyed boating, fishing, pulling up lobster traps or finding seashell treasures. One of her favorite places to visit was Sanibel Island, FL, where Janet and Bob would drive to yearly. She loved reading and needlepoint. Janet was an excellent cook, making homemade pierogis every Christmas as taught by her mother. She loved the birds outside her window where she had numerous birdfeeders. Over the years she had multiple cats that she adored, including one that her neighbor accidentally let in the house and that she ended up loving and keeping. Janet had a keen sense of humor, was a wiz at crossword puzzles, and was intrigued by good mysteries. She was a wonderful and faithful friend. Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, July 30, from 11AM to 1:15PM. A service will begin at 1:15PM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
