Janet Bobzin, 83, Park Rapids, MN passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 at her home.
Janet Bernice Bobzin was born October 7, 1941 in Alexandria, MN to Richard and Bernice (Sende) Sandberg. She graduated from Alexandria in 1959 and later attended Vo-Tech for 2 years. On April 28, 1962 she married Ronald Bobzin in West St. Paul. She worked as an office assistant for the West St. Paul School District, Great Northern Rail Road, and Economics Laboratory and retired from Health Partners in 2003.
Janet enjoyed traveling with Ron on vacations and going to warm climates during cold winter months in Minnesota, making their winter home in Florida after retirement. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her children and grandchildren and was very proud of them all. She enjoyed having her weekly coffee dates, shopping, and lunch with her mom and sister, always ending with a game of Farkle. Every summer, all the sisters met for a week of fun and togetherness with mom. Janet enjoyed traveling, crocheting, beadwork, making jewelry, Bingo with friends, making quilts with church ladies for missions, camping, fishing, and Sudoku.
Janet was a very kind and loving person and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Janet was a constant source of love and kindness throughout her 62 years of married life and will be lovingly missed by her husband, Ron. She will also be missed by her son, John Bobzin of Park Rapids; grandchildren, Jessica (Dan) Egan, Matt (Jessie) Davich, Bethany (Trevor) Viner, Amanda (Eddie) Bobzin; siblings, Douglas (Sharon) Sandberg, Arlene (Dave) Kellogg, Margaret (Wayman) Wilkerson, Maxine (Donald) Steinke, Camille (Gary) Ronnebaum; brother-in-law Mike (Kathy) Bobzin; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Sandberg, Pam Goff, and Mary (Bob) Gangl; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Berniece Sandberg; her daughter, Linda Bobzin; siblings, Richard Sandberg, Jr., Kathryn Hamm, Patricia Anderson, and Sharon Farrill; and sister-in-law Karen Neubauer.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids.
A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Park Rapids and also for 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
