Janet M. Catena, 81, of Hazlet, New Jersey, died peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025. She was born Janet Foster on October 8, 1943, in Newark, New Jersey, where she grew up. In 1970, Janet and her husband, Daniel, settled in Belford, New Jersey, where they raised their family. Before her retirement, Janet worked as an office manager for Generations Physical Medicine in Middletown, New Jersey, for over 35 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Genevieve (Majocha) Foster, her husband, Daniel V. Catena, her brother, Robert Foster, his wife, Carmen Foster, and her brother-in-law, Edmund Pietras. Janet is survived by her children, Bonnie Catena of Provincetown, Massachusetts, Daniel Catena, and his wife, Lisa Catena, of Hazlet, her sister, Sheila Pietras, and her grandson, Aidan Catena, who was her greatest joy.
