Janet G. Douget

Janet G. Douget passed away on May 19, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born on September 3, 1951, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, and lived in Scott for the past 45 years.
Janet was a registered nurse for over 40 years and was known for her caring heart and love for helping others. She was married to her husband, Mitchell Douget, for 55 years.
She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, reading, visiting with friends, and listening to her favorite Cajun and swamp pop music. She also enjoyed arts and crafts-especially knitting, sewing, and crocheting-and had a special love for her dogs and cats.
She is survived by her husband Mitchell; children, Sean Douget (Cheryl), and Ryan Douget (Dawn); daughter-in-law, Pam Nero (Donnie); grandchildren, Seth, Julie, Hannah, Kanaan, and Sara Douget, Cohen Parker, Aiden Nero and Tyler Olivier; and siblings, Carrol Guillory (Caroline) and Jeanelle Tate (Wilbur).
Janet is preceded in death by her mother Mildred Guillory, father, Hampton Guillory, stepfather, Joseph Guillory, and son, Shane Douget.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Louisiana Funeral Services & Crematory, 108 Hardware Rd. Broussard, LA 70518.
