Janet (Hale) Durham, 86, of Winchester, passed away on August 14th, nearly a year after her husband of 67 years, Jerry. She is survived by her sister Mary Overmyer; sons Myron (Pam Ramsey) and Scott; her grandchildren Morgan Moore (Durham), Sean & Shelby May, and Ryan & Lauren Durham; and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Welch, Naomi Overmyer and Martha Barker; her daughter-in-law Cindy Durham, as well as her parents, Charles & Gladys.
Janet will be remembered as a wonderful cook and baker, a long time Old National Bank employee, and a lifelong farmer. Janet is a loving soul who enjoyed spending most of her retirement seasons in Florida with her husband and friends, enjoying her many hobbies.
A service to celebrate Janet's life will be at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Pastor Melissa Kleinschmidt officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery.
Friends and family may visit from 12-2 p.m., on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
