Janet Etzold

Janet Etzold, matriarch of the Etzold family, of Fords, NJ entered into eternal rest on September 28th, 2024 with her family by her side, she was 92.
She was born in Perth Amboy, was formerly of Fords before moving to Edison and then later to Hyde Park, NY to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Janet and her husband, Ed, owned and operated Etzold's Cleaners and Tailoring in Fords for more than 30 years before retiring in 1994.
Janet was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords, a 1949 graduate of Woodbridge High School and enjoyed coordinating many of the WHS class reunions.
Janet loved traveling the world with her husband, spent several months every winter in St. Barts (her home away from home), ardently followed football and tennis, loved baking apple pies and made THE best potato salad.
Janet was predeceased by her husband, Edmund. She is survived by her children, Kim Nota and her husband Robert of Hyde Park, NY and Edmund and his wife Patricia of Lavallette and Montana; 4 grandsons: Dominic and his wife Sara; Christopher and his wife Kate; Anthony and his wife Ashley and Nicholas and his wife Jadis; as well as, 7 great-grandchildren.
Services will be private with the family.
