Janet Linda German, 81, of Skipwith, Virginia formerly of Manassas, Virginia passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025. She was born November 16, 1943 in Arlington, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Herman Neff and the late Myrtle Trumble Neff.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Ira Donald Neff, Robert “Bobby” Neff, James “Jimmy” Neff, Susan Mathers, and Lynn Hutting.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Wayne LeRoy German, Sr.; her children, Tina Louise Mills (Lewis) of Stafford Co., VA, Wayne LeRoy German, Jr. (Lisa) of Martinsburg, WV; Richard Lee German, Sr. of Skipwith, VA, Robert Lloyd German (Erin) of Chase City, VA and Elizabeth Lynn German (Sidney) of Wylliesburg, VA; sixteen grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Sandy Kirk; brothers, Gary Neff (Robin) and Danny Neff (Anne); a special niece, Mary Neff of Rhode Island; special friends, Herman Martin and Jenny and Jim; and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
Janet was baptized in Fairfax, Virginia. She enjoyed being a part of the Chase City Wednesday Night Bowling League. She loved to spend time and travel with her family and especially enjoyed having her whole family at her home during Christmas time. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her family was her greatest joy in life.
Visitation and viewing will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home in Chase City, Virginia. A private Celebration of Life will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Janet’s memory to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.newcomballgoodfh.com.
