Janet Gute

Janet Gute, 61 of Glidden, died early Friday morning, November 10, 2023 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Holy Spirit Church – St. John Paul II Parish in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Peter Pham. Music will be by Kathy Halbur. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Willey.
Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30-10:15 a.m. prior to the Funeral Mass.

Janet the daughter of Earl & Laura (Hugeback) Schirck was born July 12, 1962, in Carroll Iowa. She attended Carroll school and later graduated from Carroll high school.
On December 14, 1996, Janet was united in marriage to Rick Gute in Denison.
Janet was a very active volunteer. She volunteered at a New Hope Bargain Shop. In her free time, she loved spending time with grandson RJ and family. Janet love to sew and craft in her spare time and take care of the farm.
Survivors include her husband Rick Gute of Carroll; her children Ronald Barker of Mexico, MO, Laura (Aaron) Arp of Early.
Her siblings, Helen (Randy) Baumhover of St. Charles, Missouri, Carol Schirck of Carroll, Nancy (John) Bebner of Kent, Washington, Martha DeWitt of Des Moines, and Duane Schirck of Carroll; her grandchildren, Hannah and RJ.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Earl & Laura Schirck; two brothers, Dale and David Schirck; two sisters, Lois and Diane Schirck; she was also preceded death by her daughter, Michele Schirck and nephew Craig Baumhover.
