Janet Hutchins Obituary

Janet is survived by Edward Hutchins, her loving spouse of 52 years, and their cherished children, her daughter Heidi, son-in-law David McStowe and son Kyle, daughter-in-law Moselle Sath Hutchins. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren Bennett and Sienna McStowe and Kya Hutchins, as well as her siblings Patricia Cadman, Jacquelyn Bessette, Joseph Buttner, Steven Buttner, Michele Bergeron and many other loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Janet was born and raised in Scituate, where she spent much of her childhood aboard her father's boat, "The Gus Gus," and enjoying summers at Salt Air Village in Dennis Port, Cape Cod. After relocating to Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1970. Janet then pursued a career in nursing, earning her LPN degree from the MDMH School of Practical Nursing and dedicating her life to caring for others.
In addition to her nursing career, Janet and her husband became successful real estate investors, managing both commercial and residential properties. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and boundless energy, Janet was always up for any challenge, never shying away from large projects or obstacles. Her determination and work ethic were matched only by her unwavering devotion to her children and family. A woman of many talents and incredible qualities, Janet's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral mass will be held on February 3rd, 2025 at 10:30 am at Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase St. in South Easton, Ma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to World Central Kitchen https://www.wck.org, in Janet Hutchins honor.
Janet's legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Arrangements are being held by Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Easton
