Janet A. Lipscomb Goss

Janet A. Lipscomb Goss, 62, a resident of Parsons, passed from this life Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown after a brief illness.
Janet was born Wednesday, November 6, 1963, a daughter of the late David H. Lipscomb and Clarisse Messenger Lipscomb Beneger. In Parsons, on June 23, 2012, she married Leo Goss, Jr., who survives. They had celebrated thirteen years of marriage.
Left to cherish Janet's memory is a son, Travis Cole Lantz and wife, Misty, of Elkins, two stepsons, Adam Leo Goss and Andrew Dale Goss and Kim, all of Parsons, a stepdaughter, Rebecca Goss, two brothers Dewey and David Lipscomb, two sisters Barbara Nazelrod and husband, Lonnie, of Oakland, MD and Carol Dumire and husband, Tink, of Moatsville, fourteen grandchildren, Brayden, Raigan, Ellie, Eve, Selena, Zannah, Carlie, Haily, Vanna, Onyx, Addilyn, Caleb, Preston, Dylan and wife, Katlyn, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Janet in death besides her parents was three brothers, Dale Lipscomb, Arnold Wayne Lipscomb and Larry Lipscomb, and a sister, Dora Huffman.
Janet attended Garrett County Maryland schools. She had worked as a nurse's aide for nursing homes. Janet enjoyed camping, watching Crime TV and working Sudoku puzzles.
Visitation will be held at Hostetler Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 11 am – 1 pm, the funeral hour. Kevin Keplinger will officiate, and the family's request for cremation will then be honored.
