Janet (Baczkowski) Maresca, 89, a longtime resident of
Conshohocken, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2025.
Janet was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. "Tony" Maresca, her high school sweetheart and husband of 68 years, who passed in 2022. Together, they built a life centered on love, faith, and family, a legacy that lives on through their children and grandchildren.
She was born on October 15, 1935, to the late John Baczkowski and Marie (Bienkowski) Baczkowski Zebraski. Janet graduated from Conshohocken High School in 1953. She was an office professional at Lee Tires before marrying Tony in 1954 and embracing her most cherished role as a devoted wife and mother.
Janet lived a life guided by her strong Catholic faith. She was a longtime parishioner of Saints Cosmas and Damian Church, and most recently, St. Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill. Outside of caring for her family, her days were filled with simple joys such as gardening, and caring for her cherished geraniums, which she nurtured through each winter to bloom brightly in spring. She was an avid reader and loved watching the Phillies.
Family was everything to Janet. She was a kind, loving, and selfless woman who always put others before herself. She and Tony found their greatest happiness in hosting holidays and family celebrations, creating a home filled with love and laughter. In later years, they enjoyed traveling and maintaining lifelong friendships with high school classmates and neighbors who brought joy and companionship into their retirement.
Janet is survived by her four children Anthony J. Maresca, Jr. (Cindy) of Collegeville, John Maresca (Cathy) of Lecanto, FL, Joseph Maresca (Elise) of Kennett Square, and Nancy Erb (Jeffrey) of Eagleville. She was a grandmother to eight grandchildren Anthony J. Maresca, III (Debbie), Mark Maresca, John Maresca (Thais), Christopher Maresca, Matthew Maresca, Gina Havertine (Kyle), Jessica Quinzani (Augustus), and Brian Erb (Chloe), and a loving great-grandmother to Tony IV, Ava, Emmie, Quinn, Lena, and Jay.
She is also survived by her brother, Charles Zebraski (Sheila) of Orlando, FL; sister-in-law Rita Conoshenti (Joe) of East Norriton; and many dear nieces, nephews, and extended family. Janet was predeceased by her brothers Edward and James Zebraski.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Janet's life on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 with a Visitation from 9:30-11:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. Interment to follow in St. Matthew Cemetery, Conshohocken.
