Janet I. Mumper, age 100, passed away August 2, 2025 after an unexpected illness. She was born March 1, 1925, in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Mumper Jacobs (Richard), of Fleming Island, FL, and grandson, Brian Jacobs (Meryl) and great granddaughter, Skylar of Saint Johns, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Mumper, parents Washington Ivey and Minnie E. Gross, brother, Lester Ivey, and sister, Harriet Wilson.

Mrs. Mumper was married to Mack 67 years and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a gracious hostess and loved to cook and entertain. She was always smiling and had a laugh that was contagious. She was a "lover of life."

In her early years, Janet, who loved fashion, enjoyed working at JK Bowmans and then as a secretary at Penn State Cooperative Extension office.

Mrs. Mumper was a member of Colonial Park United Methodist Church in Harrisburg, PA from 1980 until moving to Fleming Island FL in 2006 where she attended Orange Park United Methodist Church in Orange Park, FL.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00PM on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Shoop's Cemetery Garden of Rest in Harrisburg, PA with Pastor Jane Keller officiating.
