Janet Norman Obituary

Born Friday, August 31, 1951, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Roger S. Repp and the late Elaine (Repp) Grow.
Janet graduated from Saint Maria Goretti High School and later graduated from Mercy School of Nursing. She earned a masters degree in nursing from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She was employed with Mercy Medical Center from 1973 to 2015. She was also a home health visiting nurse through St. Joseph Medical Center.
Janet was an avid hiker and also enjoyed bike riding. She thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2008, where she met her spouse, Pauline. She also participated in many organized long-distance bike rides. In her retirement she and Pauline traveled cross country in their RV multiple times and enjoyed hiking in Arizona where they spent many winters.
She is survived by her spouse Pauline M. Houle, daughter, Elizabeth N. Faux, sisters, Marian Holmes and Martha Hoffman and brother, Lawrence Repp and wonderful nieces and a nephew.
Memorial services will be held with Janet's family and friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy P. O. Box 807, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.
