Janet "Jan" Scatchard went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on July 11, 2025. She was 76 years old.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Robert, their beloved daughter, Jennifer; and cherished grandson, Caleb Calo.
Jan was the adopted daughter of Joseph and Doris Redman of Willow Grove, PA, and was preceded in death by her adopted brother, Jimmy.
Jan spent many joyful summers at Camp Sankanac - first as a camper, and later as a dedicated staff member, creating lifelong memories and friendships. In her later years, she found deep joy and purpose in sharing laughter, wisdom, and faith with her Bible study group.
A lifelong animal lover and caretaker, Jan nurtured many pets throughout her life. She was also an avid reader, always eager to explore new stories and ideas.
To honor Jan's wishes, there will be no funeral service, but we invite you to privately celebrate her memory in your own way. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to your local animal shelter - a cause close to her heart.

Yesterday

So sorry to hear of Jan´s death but I have no doubt at all that she is in heaven with her Father.
I will never forget all the good times we had together at Ephrata Hospital working the night shift and relieving her from phone operator responsibilities to gt something to eat. I was always so fearful that I would make a mistake and so glad to see her return.
We had great times together in Ephrata, Akron and Orange City. I will never forget her strong faith and how she prayed for my safe travels and anything else that came up.
I pray for all of you as you go on from here. Cherish your memories
