Janet Raye Stephenson, 81, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born September 10, 1943, in Roseville, Ohio to the late Raymond and Violet Auker Brown. Janet was a member of Anchor Church and volunteered for Zanesville City Schools. She enjoyed crafts and socializing.
She is survived by her sons: Norman (Leah) Stephenson Jr., Mark Stephenson and Kevin (Brenda) Stephenson; three sisters: Carole (Germaine) Upchurch, Thelma Miller and Mary Grandstaff; 12 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Stephenson Sr.; a sister Ruth Seenes; and brothers in law Richard Miller, Danny Grandstaff and Virgil Seenes.
Calling hours will be from 11AM to 1PM Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. The funeral service will begin at 1PM in the Snouffer Chapel. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.
