Janette Scobey Marbrey, 74, of Trimble, Tennessee, died on Monday, June 27, 2022, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Tuesday, December 9, 1947, in Obion County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Mozell Scobey and the late Thelma Webster Scobey. Mrs. Marbrey was a former employee of All-Wear and the Dyer County School System as a cafeteria employee. Mrs. Marbrey loved spending time with her family and making memories with them on their family trips.
Graveside services for Mrs. Marbrey will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Cool Springs Cemetery in the Cool Springs community. Officiating this service will be Dr. Bill Oakley and Pastor David Richards. Visitation for Mrs. Marbrey will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Ronnie Marbrey of Trimble, Tennessee; one daughter, Rona Craig (Stephen) of Newbern, Tennessee; three sisters, Linda Moore of Trimble, Tennessee, Dolores Jackson of Trimble, Tennessee and Janice Bell of Trimble, Tennessee; four granddaughters, Katelyn, Cassie, Anna-Kate and Lily and one great grandchild, Carsyn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude O. "Cowboy" Marbrey; two brothers, Jimmy Lynn Scobey, and Claude "Bubba" Scobey; two sisters, Joyce Fay Yonkers, and Anita Ellen Scobey; two brothers-in-law, Norman "Tooter" Jackson and Edward Moore.
Honoring Mrs. Marbrey as pallbearers will be James Moore, Steve Moore, Ed Moore, Mark Maupin, David Young, and Paul Dobbs. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Ray Bell, David Ring and Adam Jones.
